Dr. James D. Hardie

Dr. James Hardie is originally from Ironwood, Michigan. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Michigan State University. He graduated with his Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Ohio State University in 2010. Dr. Hardie was the receipient of the the Michigan Optometric Associations 2016 Young Optometrist of the Year award. During his time at the Ohio State University he received the College of Optometry’s Graduate of the Year award and the Vision Service Plan Nexus award for ophthalmic dispensing. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the Ohio Optometric Association, the Toledo Area Optometric Association, the Michigan Optometric Association, the Bedford Business Association, the Bedford Lions Club and the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce. His volunteer activities include: Third Vice President of the Bedford Business Association, Past-President of the Elite Referral Partners, Past Zone governor of the Toledo Area Optometric Society, and Trustee for the Michigan Optometric Association. Dr. Hardie and his wife, Holly, reside in Beford Township. His interests include sports, travel, community involvement and Spartan athletics.
